Overview

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:


Supports and leads assembly portion of projects. Maintains tools and equipment in the shop. Responsible for
organization of shop materials, tools, and equipment. Welds, fabricates, and assembles parts as needed for ongoing
projects.

Responsibilities

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTAIBLITY:

 

  • Accurately follows blueprints and specifications to fabricate equipment and systems.
  •  Proactively collaborates with the shop team, engineering staff, and contractors to assemble, build, and install
    equipment and systems in-house and onsite accurately and completely as needed.
  • Safely loads and unloads equipment, parts, orders, systems.
  • Accurately completes piping assemblies.
  •  Provides accurate welding, cutting, grinding, assembling per engineering fabrication drawings.
  • Provides timely onsite support for the installation of projects as needed.
  • Proactively maintains and fixes shop tools and equipment.
  • Maintains an organized inventory of shop equipment.
  • Safely operates cranes and forklifts upon training and proper certification.
  • Proactively maintains a safe work environment according to established Safety procedures.
  • Works effectively and efficiently in both team-based and independent working environments to reduce costs
    and add value to the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALITIFCATIONS FOR ENTRY: 

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others, oral and written; and
  • Speaks English fluently.
  • Forklift Certificate a plus
  • Welding Certificate a plus
